Set Up your Company’s Holiday Schedule Call Handling Rule on the BT Cloud Work

As an Administrator you can set up your company’s Holiday Schedule call handling rules. For example, you can set all incoming calls to connect directly to a message-only extension that plays your recorded holiday greeting, then allows the caller to leave you a message.

IMPORTANT: If you wish to divert calls to a Messages Only Extension you will need to create this before you proceed.  See Set up a Messages-Only Extension on BT Cloud Work for more information.

  1. Log in to your BT Cloud Phone Portal.
  2. Click Phone System and select Auto-Receptionist.
  3. Go to IVR Settings and click Custom rule.
  4. Click Add rule.
  5. Enter Your Rule Name, and then click Next.
  6. Click on Date and/or Time and select Specific Date Range. Set the Date and Time when the rule will be applied and click Next.
  7. Select Bypass greeting to go to an Extension and click Select Extension.
  8. Select the specific Messages-Only Extension you setup for this holiday schedule and click Done.
  9. Click Done to save the custom rule.

After you have created your custom rule for the Holiday Schedule validate this by clicking on Validate Rules. This helps ensure that the Enabled rule does not conflict with other rules.
