Add or Delete a Direct Number for an IVR Menu in the BT Cloud Work Portal

Details

A Direct Number for an IVR menu is independent of the main company call handling. Adding a Direct Number for an IVR menu is beneficial but optional. For example, a company with multiple offices can have their customers dial the direct number for their IVR menu in one of those offices. This helps to save time by skipping unnecessary menus and reaching the right office or department by dialling its Direct Number.

 

Add a number

  1. Log in to your BT Cloud Work Portal.
  2. On the Admin Portal, go to Phone system > Auto-Receptionist > IVR menus.
  3. Click the Kebab button (three vertical dots) under the Actions column across the IVR menu name and click Add number.
  4. Select the County and Area code
  5. Select from the Available Numbers, click Add numbers then click Next
  6. Review the charges, then acknowledge the order. Click Next.
  7. Take note of the reference number. Click Done.

You may also print a copy your order information for your own reference.

 

Delete a number

  1. Log in to your BT Cloud Work Portal.
  2. Navigate to the user extension settings depending on your profile:
  • Admin: In the Admin Portal, go to Users User List > Users with Extension, then select the user you want to edit
  • User: Go to Settings 
  1. Click Phones & Numbers
  2. Select the number to be deleted and click on Edit under Actions.
  3. Click Delete Number, then click Confirm.
