Configure the General IVR Settings for Multi-Level IVR | BT Cloud Work

Details

1. Log in to your BT Cloud Work portal.

2. Under Phone system > Auto-Receptionist > General Settings > IVR Settings.

3. Under the General IVR Settings, you can configure the actions for general navigation keys. Click Save once done.

Configure the following settings under the General IVR Settings:

• Press #
• Press *
• If caller enters no action after the prompt has played 3 times

 

Press #

The action selected in this section becomes the behaviour when callers press # (hash/pound):

a. Repeat menu greeting

b. Return to root menu

c. Return to previous menu

Press the pound key.
 

Press *

The action selected in this section becomes the behaviour when callers press (star/asterisk):

a. Repeat menu greeting

b. Return to root menu

c. Return to previous menu

Press the asterisk or the star key.
 

If caller enters no action after the prompt has played 3 times

If no action was entered after the prompt has played, the caller can either be disconnected or connected to an extension.

a. Disconnect the call - The call will be disconnected if the caller enters no action after the prompt is played 3 times.

b. Connect to extension - The caller will be routed to the extension that you specified if the caller enters no action after the prompt is played 3 times.

If caller enters no action after the prompt has played 3 times
