Cause

The prefix or area code of the phone number may be a premium rate or special service number. Outbound calling to these types of numbers is disabled by default.

Resolution

Administrators or users with the granted necessary access permissions need to check if the phone number is categorized as a premium rate/special service number.

1. Log in to the BT Cloud Work portal
2. Go to Billing > Calling Rates > Domestic
3. Enter the area code of the phone number being dialed on the search bar
4. Click the More (three vertical dots) icon, and then click Enable for all of displayed options

NOTE: Higher calling rates are applied when premium rate/special service numbers are called. Refer to the price per minute column of the list.
