Administrators and Users have several ways available when setting up or customizing the various audio recordings or greetings in the BT Cloud Work online account such as the Voicemail, Connecting Message, User, and Company greetings. Click on the links below to learn more about each method:

Record Using Phone
Record Using Computer Microphone
Import Audio File

NOTE: You must change the greeting type from Default to Custom for the above options to be available.

Record Using Phone

By using this option, the BT Cloud Work system will call you on the number you specify, and then simply follow the prompts to record your audio greeting.

  1. Click Phone
  2. Under Call me at, enter the phone number you want to use to record the voicemail greeting. If you have any phone number specified in your Call Handling & Forwarding settings, those numbers are provided to you as options as well
  3. Click Call Now
  4. Follow the prompts to record the voicemail greeting over the phone
  5. Click Done
  6. Click Save

Record Using Computer Microphone

If you have a dedicated microphone or a headset connected to your computer, use this option to speak into your microphone and record your greeting directly.

  1. Click Computer Microphone
  2. Click Allow if prompted by the browser to grant access to use your microphone
  3. Click the Record Record Audio button button and speak to the computer microphone to record your greeting. Click the Stop button once done with the recording
  4. Click the Play button to listen to your recorded greeting, If needed, click the Record button to record again. This will overwrite the first recording
  5. Click the Upload button beside the Record button to upload the recorded message
  6. Click Done
  7. Click Save

Import Audio File

Lastly, you have the option of uploading an audio file of your greeting directly if you have it available. The supported file formats are .wav and .mp3.

  1. Click Importing
  2. Click Browse
  3. Choose the audio file to be uploaded. Recommended files are:
    • CCITT u-Law (G711a), 8 kHz, 8 bit, mono
    • PCM, 8 kHz, 16 bit, mono
  4. Click Open to select and upload the audio file
  5. Click Done
  6. Click Save
