Using the Citrix VDI Integration with the BT Cloud Work App

Citrix integrates with the BT Cloud Work desktop and web app to improve the quality of your audio calls when using a Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) on your computer.

To use Citrix, you must meet the system requirements. The Citrix VDI integration with the BT Cloud Work app is only available on Windows.

Using the BT Cloud Work app web in a Citrix environment

To use the BT Cloud Work web app in a Citrix virtual environment, you need to use browser content redirection Chrome extension from Citrix, which is the responsibility of the Citrix vendor. The only way to use the BT Cloud Work web app in a Citrix environment is through Google Chrome.

Using the BT Cloud Work app desktop in a Citrix environment

To use the BT Cloud Work desktop app inside the Citrix VM, you’ll need to install the BT Cloud Work.exe app and run this BAT file as admin on the same Citrix VM. For the .msi version of the BT Cloud Work app desktop you don’t need to run the BAT file.

NOTE: If you are using the .msi version of the BT Cloud Work app desktop that is older than Version 22.2.30, you’ll need to download and run this BAT file as admin on the same Citrix VM.

Optimizing your calls with Citrix

After checking your system requirements and downloading the required file or extension, make sure your calls are being optimized by Citrix:

1. In the left navigation bar, click Settings.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Turn on Optimize media quality for Citrix. This feature is turned on by default when using the BT Cloud Work app with Citrix VDI.
4. When you make a call, you’ll know Citrix is optimizing your audio by the Media optimized for Citrix indicator.
