The Messages and notifications section lets you change how the system notifies you for voice messages, missed calls, faxes and texts. The steps below will guide you on how to change the notification settings of your BT Cloud Work account. 

Users - Users can only access and edit their own extension.

Administrators - Administrators can access and edit the settings of other Users on their BT Cloud Work account.

Accessing the Notification settings your own extension (Users)

1. Log in as a User to your BT Cloud Work portal.
2. Go to SettingsNotifications.
3. Click Messaging Notifications.

The Notifications window will open, continue to Customise your Notification settings.
 

Accessing another User's Notification settings (Administrators)

NOTE: You need to be an Account Administrator to perform the following procedure on another User's mailbox.

1. Log in as an Administrator to your BT Cloud Work portal.
2. Under Admin portal, click on the Users User list > Users with extensions.
3. Select the name of the User that you want to view.
4. Click Notifications.
5. Click Messaging Notifications.

The Notifications window will open, continue to Customise your Notification settings.
 

Customise your Notification settings

 You can receive email notifications for the following messages or features. You can select between Basic settings or Advanced settings to customise.

• Voicemail messages
• Received faxes
• Missed calls
• Fax transmission results
• Received text messages

Basic settings - Under Basic settings, tick the checkbox to select the notifications that you want to receive, and then type the email address where you want to get the email notifications. Click Save when done.

NOTE: You can also add other email addresses to receive the notification. Just enter the email addresses separated by a semi-colon. There is no maximum number of email address that you can add, as long as the email addresses will fit in the 250 character limit allowed in the Send notifications to box.

Advanced settings - The Advanced settings allow you customise your notifications further by giving you the option to send notifications for each feature to a different email address. It also allows you to get a copy of the voice or fax message with the email notification. 

1. Under Advanced settings, tick the checkbox to select the notifications that you want to receive, and then click Customise notifications.

2. For each Notification, specify how you want to be notified and enter the email address where you want to get the notifications. Click Done when finished.

3. Click Save.

NOTE:  For Voicemail messages and Received Faxes, you can Include attachment with email to have a copy of your Voicemail (.mp3 file) or Fax Message (.pdf file). You can also select Mark message as read once emailed to automatically mark the voice or fax message as read on your BT Cloud Work portal, desktop app, and mobile app, after the notification email is sent to your email address.
