This article lists the system requirements for your BT Cloud Phone service.

BT Cloud Phone Internet Access

• High-Speed BT Business Internet Service e.g. DSL, Fibre
• The minimum recommended bandwidth is 200kbs (upload) per concurrent call

BT Cloud Phone Portal

• Windows 10 (32 and 64-bit)
• Windows 8.1 (32 and 64-bit)

• Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit)
• Mac OS X 10.8+

BT Cloud Phone Desktop App

Windows

• Windows 7 or later operating system
• 2 GHz (32/64-bit) processor
• Minimum of 1 GB of memory
• 300 MB of hard drive space
• Microsoft Outlook 2010 or higher

Mac

• Mac OS X 10.8 or later
• Intel processor
• Minimum of 1 GB of memory
• 300 MB of hard drive space

BT Cloud Phone Mobile App

• iOS 11.0 or later (iOS 12, iPhone X supported)
• Android 4.4 or later (now supporting Android P)
• For Android M or later, you will need to turn on required App Permissions:
  • Contacts (view local contacts)
  • Phone (RingOut)
  • Microphone (VoIP call)
  • Storage (store fax/voicemail/documents/photo)

NOTE: BT Cloud Phone Mobile iOS app will not run on iOS devices running iOS 9 (or earlier).

Scenarios:

• Itunes will prevent Users with an iOS 9 device without the BT Cloud Phone Mobile app (iOS) to download the 10.3 version. However, Users can download the older 10.2.1 version.
• Itunes will prevent Users with an iOS 9 device with the BT Cloud Phone Mobile app (iOS) 10.2.x version or lower to update to the latest 10.3 version.
• Apple users may need to upgrade their device from iOS 9 to a higher iOS version.

Fax

For E-mail to Fax/FaxOut:

• Active email account

Faxing with a traditional fax machine:

• High-Speed BT Business Internet Service e.g DSL, Fibre
• BT Cloud Phone ATA, available from BT via the BT Cloud Phone Portal or your BT Sales Person.
• Fax Machine

We have tested and configured all our IP devices to make sure they work perfectly with our BT Cloud Phone Service. So to make sure you experience the quality of calls you’d expect, only IP devices from the BT Cloud Phone portfolio can be used.
