Follow Me, is part of call handling features that lets you receive calls or take your calls with you when you leave. Using the BT Cloud Phone portal, you may set up details of phones you want to ring if you receive an inbound call on your BT Cloud Phone number.  When an inbound call is received on your BT Cloud Phone number all your phones will ring at the same time (rather than in sequence). As soon as the call is answered on one device, the ringing stops on the other phones.

With this feature, BT Cloud Phone helps you to ensure you don’t miss calls. For example you can:

  • Have your mobile phone and desk phone ring at the same time so you can answer the call when you have to step away from your desk to get a coffee.
  • Have your BT Cloud Phone Desktop App ring at the same time, so that you may answer the call from your computer while out of the office.
  • Have the office receptionist’s phone ring at the same time in order to screen calls.

It is possible to set up Follow Me to any number but if a call is to a number that is not a BT Cloud Phone number call charges may apply if call is answered on a non-BT Cloud Phone device.

How do I set up my call forwarding so both my office phone and my mobile ring at the same time?

  1. Go to Settings Call handling & forwarding.
  2. Add the Mobile number that you want to ring at the same time with your office number. Toggle the User-added image button to enable.
  3. If needed, you may also set how long the caller will hear the ringing for before the system tries the next number in the list. 5 sec is approximately equal to 1 ring.
  4. Select Simultaneously on the Phones will ring: option.
  5. Click Save to complete your changes.
 

How do I set up my call forwarding so both my office phone and my home phone ring after 6pm?​

If your User hours and After-hours have been set up, and you want to assign your calls to follow different number/s after your office hours, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Settings Call handling & forwarding.
  2. Click on the After-Hours tab,  then select Forward calls from the drop-down option.
  3. Add your Home number that you want to ring after 6pm. Toggle the User-added image button to enable.
  4. If needed, you may also set how long the caller will hear the ringing for before the system tries the next number in the list. 5 sec is approximately equal to 1 ring.
  5. Set the order to Simultaneously.
  6. Click Save to complete your changes.
 

I am on a call but need to leave the office - how can I continue with the call?

If you want to continue a call but have to leave the office, You can set it up via Call Flip. Follow the steps below to customize your Call Flip settings.

  1. Go to Settings Call handling & forwarding.
  2. Click Settings, and then click Edit under Call Flip.
  3. All active numbers will appear on your Call Flip menu. To rearrange the order of your forwarding numbers, just hold your mouse on the row and drag and drop the row to your desired order. When you are on a call, press ∗ and the Flip number to transfer the call to another phone number below.
  4. Click Save.
