BT Cloud Work: Spending and Usage Limits

All BT Cloud Work accounts have spending limits to help protect them from unauthorised usage and to highlight unusual spend.

We do not want to stop you making authorised calls and purchases, so we can set the limit to suit your business. To increase the spending limit that's been set for your account or for any more information, contact support and select the option for billing


1.  What are BT Cloud Work warning notifications?

BT Cloud Work warning notifications are emails to alert BT Cloud Work account holders that they are approaching Daily, Monthly or Master Spending limits.


2.  Why have I received warning E-mail notifications?

BT Cloud Work sends out warning emails to help protect users from unauthorised usage and highlight unusual call spend.   You may receive a warning if you are:
 
Close to the limit on chargeable calls made in any 24 hour period
Close to the limit on chargeable calls made in any rolling month
Close to the monthly spending limit for your BT Cloud Work account


3.  What happens if I go over the limit?

For Daily Call Limit:  If you go over the limit, you will not be able to make chargeable calls until you call us to increase it or the next 24 hour period starts. This only applies to calls, such as international and premium rate calls and UK calls not included in your call package.

For Monthly Call Limit:  If you go over the limit, you  will not be able to make chargeable calls until you call us to increase it or the next monthly period starts. This only applies to calls, such as international and premium rate calls and UK calls not included in your call package.

For Monthly Spending Limit:  If you go over the limit, you  will not be able to use your BT Cloud Work for activities that normally appear as an extra charge on your bill until the start of next month or you call us to increase the limit. This only applies to things, such as new phones, additional licences or chargeable calls. 


4.  Will it affect my incoming calls or calls made from my monthly inclusive UK call minutes?

No, it will not affect your incoming calls or calls made from your monthly inclusive UK call minutes. This only applies to things that normally appear as an extra charge on your bill such as new phones, additional licences or chargeable calls. This does include international and premium rate calls and UK calls not included in your call package.


5.  How do I increase my limit?

To increase the spending limit that's been set for your account or for any more information, contact support and select the option for billing.
