BT Cloud Work Call Switch Overview

The BT Cloud Work Call Switch feature allows you to instantly handoff an active call from your BT Cloud Work Desktop app to your BT Cloud Work Mobile app, and vice versa. 
 

Key features and benefits

• Efficiency: quickly and easily switch a call onto a Mobile or Desktop App.
• Better user experience: the call is pulled onto the app without having to put the other party on hold.
 

Limitations

​• Call Switch only supports switching of calls between the BT Cloud Work apps (Desktop and Mobile) and does not support switching of calls between the BT Cloud Phone apps and Desk phones.
• Call Switch is only supported when VoIP is turned on. If VoIP is turned off, User will be asked to turn it on in order to continue.
• Call Switch is not supported if current User has multiple VoIP calls in progress. The banner will be hidden. This avoids confusion when switching on a conference from Desktop app.
• An on-hold call will be removed from hold after switching to another endpoint. 

What is the difference between Call Flip and Call Switch?

Call Switch enables switching ongoing calls between BT Cloud Phone desktop and mobile apps, exclusively. On the other hand, Call Flip enables a User to flip an ongoing call between any devices connected to a BT Cloud Phone Licence, including home phones, desk phones, and smartphones that are not equipped with the BT Cloud Phone Mobile App.
